How lovely has it been to have some sunshine over the past week? Honestly, it’s made such a difference to my mood and it’s so nice seeing the boys playing in the garden! Finally, we can get them away from the remote control and back into the garden. It also makes everyone that little bit happier, it’s amazing what fresh air can do isn’t it?

Marlo has been enjoying his new Smoby Nature Playhouse that we were recently sent to try out. It has now turned into his little toy den (reminds me to empty it out before it does eventually rain again!) He even turned it into a strawberry shop, selling me strawberries from the windows and he’s been finding ladybirds in the garden and inviting them inside his playhouse… so cute! The age range is from 2+ but even my 5-year-old loves popping in there and creating his own little superhero cave. It’s also going to be great at shielding them from the sun in the summer months. They’ll be able to eat their lunch in there in the shade which is going to be great. You might even find me in there too, trying to cool down or have a nap.

The Playhouse is a great addition to our garden, and it wasn’t that hard to put together. I can’t take the credit though, my husband put it together by himself in under an hour. It does say it can be assembled in 45 minutes with two people so it’s not that bad. It’s super sturdy and has held its own again the latest storms as well as Marlo running into it, I mean he is 3, it happens! The playhouse is also Anti- UV treated so the colour doesn’t fade and it’s made to last against the elements. I have to say that Smoby products are brilliant for durability, we’ve had our giant slide out all summer and winter and the colour hasn’t faded, there’s no wear and tear and it still looks like new, so I know the playhouse will be the same next year!

The assembled height is 127cm so it’s a pretty decent sized playhouse but it isn’t super heavy so you can move it around if you’re having BBQs or a paddling pool in the summer months. It has windows and a door and it’s a really cute little thing for the kids to enjoy. It’s going to be one of those garden toys that stands the test of time and I can imagine in a few years it will still be in such good condition it will be handed to my nephew for him to have his own adventures in.
It’s available to purchase at Very and it’s the perfect addition to any garden, but the question is, what will your little one turn it into? A toy den, an ice cream shop or their spaceship!?
