2Plus2 – Winter Glam With Evans

A few weeks ago the lovely Katie and I did a joint style post about the New Kelly Osbourne range. It went down a treat with you guys and we absolutely loved doing it (We even got a few mentions from Kelly O herself!) so we decided to keep the theme going and we’ve called it 2Plus2. It’s actually pretty simple, 2 plus size bloggers, styling 2 outfits. We think it’s great when you see an outfit on different body shapes and sizes. Everyone is different and we believe that everyone can look and feel great regardless of size or shape. Katie and I have different shapes and different body sizes and slightly different styles. We thought by seeing and sharing our outfits we’d hopefully inspire, inform and maybe even make you giggle a little bit. We don’t mind!

This 2Plus2 post is all about Evans. We had a great trip to their Marble Arch store and it’s still a great but new feeling to go into a store and actually try things on. Incredibly, it wasn’t intentional but Katie and I ended up with almost the same items. I guess great minds think alike! This first post is about Winter Glam. Keeping warm but feeling fabulous over the festive season, especially with all the celebrations currently happening.

Evans Faux Fur Coat

First up I have to tell you about thisfaux fur and boucle sleeve coat. It’s absolutely luscious! I’m wearing a size 22, I could have done with a 24 but it is quite generous and it has a hook and eye fastening. (This is a little difficult to master hidden in the faux fur!) But this coat can be forgiven for a tiny mishap like that because it’s gorgeous. We saw it and we both had to have it. It’s a great length and perfect to wear to work or to pop over a dress of an evening. I guarantee that you’ll be lovingly stroking your coat at the train station as it feels so lovely. Its collarless which is on trend right now but is super warm. Plus, it’s machine washable! A big bonus for me as dry cleaning is not my best past time.

Evans Plus Size Party Top

Second up is this Floral Neck Trim Top. It’s a top / tunic depending on how tall you are. On me it’s more of a top although it’s a great length. On Katie it’s more of a tunic top so fabulous with leggings. The floral trim to the neckline is almost like a ready fitted necklace. It’s removable too so no worry about washing it and if you don’t mind a little DIY you could easily pop a bracelet on there to up cycle the top as many times as you like. This is the type of top that once again, for me is great to go from office to party. It’s also brilliant when I’m in a rush as it’s get up and go. The size is generous and I’m a fan of ¾ length sleeves. Evans also has a similar top with longer length sleeves if you want to be a touch warmer this winter. Of course, we had to pair the top with the coat. It’s a great combination.

PU Panel plus size leggings

Last but not least I grabbed these PU side panel leggings. They are really thick and closer to jeggings to be honest. (I’ve increased the contrast of the picture so you can see the PU panel). The PU strip on each side gives it an added twist and the leggings are a decent length with a decent stretch. I did happen to fall over bum first into a pile of mud just after taking these pictures. Yes it was funny but I’m also glad to say the leggings washed up well! I would say though that they are quite tight on the leg so size up. You may find they are really high waisted but that just makes them better in my opinion.

Evans and pretty big butterflies

Overall I love this outfit. It’s easy and quite glamorous, but each item can easily be worn with a statement T shirt, or jeans for a casual look.

Don’t forget to go and have a sneak peek at Katie’s blog to see what she thinks about the outfits and we’ll have our second instalment up before Christmas day so stay tuned!
