Ever since River Island launched their plus size range I’ve been a fan. It’s one of the few brands that offers the SAME clothing in plus size and standard sizing. They also offer really on trend pieces that in my opinion fit well. When I went to the launch I remember pushing to find out if they would extend the range and the one message that came back was that they want to but they need the plus size customer to be behind it. From a business perspective I can totally see that. Why increase a collection if it actually isn’t selling at the moment right? Well, obviously River Island did something right because people bought and River Island listened. (One of the first brands to actually do that!) They have now started to extended the collection (slowly) to a size 28 and there are already 26 items ready for you to go and take a look at. What’s more… they’ve just launched wide fit shoes. I kid you not. I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS!

If it helps, I wore the bardot swing dress to The Curve Fashion Festival and it went down a storm. I wore a size 26 to cater for my little baby bump and it was definitely a great fit.
