I’ve been meaning to do this Outfit of the day for a little while. It’s been one of my faves over the past month or so and I have well an truly got my moneys worth out of it.
I spent quite some time looking for a skater skirt that covered my bum, it was trickier then it sounds! It was third time lucky when I came across this one, not only did it fit but I loved the soft waffle feel of the fabric. Ironically it’s from the New Look Inspire range but I bought it in the ASOS sale. I got it for a bargain £7.00. just before it went out of stock! Good times.
Since I bought it I knew my search was worthwhile. It’s completely revamped my wardrobe and it so easy to put on and go. It also means that my shirts get an extra lease of life and it looks smart but i still fashionable in it, a perfect work winner.
Ironically this utility shirt has never been worn it’s from South at Very.co.uk and has always been a little tight on the tummy. But sneak it under a skater skirt and no one needs to know! (Until they read this of course). I love the retro print and adding a necklace just brings it to life a little. It also comes in Cobalt Blue (which is on my wish list!), black and snake print. I think it’s quite a bargain at £22.00. It’s available in sizes 12-24 and I’m surprised at how generous the arms were. (That’s usually my problem with shirts).
So I have a new found love of skater skirts and I’m on the hunt for more. I just need them to be long enough so that I don’t flash my bum and I like the fit and flare style that they have. I’m not sure if I’ll brave them in the warmer weather. I think I’ll opt for lsightly longer ones. But we’ll see.
This has to be one of my favourite ‘outfit of the days’ for a little while. It’s so simple yet just hits the mark. i love easy outfits! If you know anywhere that has great skater skirts then let me know. I’m definitely on the hunt for more.
