I’m an instagram addict and you might have seen a couple of snaps of this gorgeous dress already if you follow me. I haven’t been able to get enough of it and I was struggling to keep this post in while Katie and I did our 2Plus2 collaboration. This is our second outfit from Evans where we have both styled the same look so you can see that there is no limit when it comes to style and size. If you like it… wear it! This dress is from Scarlett and Jo, a lovely brand that is available from Evans. It has a gorgeous floral print which isn’t too much and once again it’s a dress that ticks many boxes for me. It has ¾ length sleeves which are my favourite. It’s really stretchy and true to size. Honestly, it fits perfectly; I tried a couple of sizes on and stuck at the 22. If anything it’s a tiny bit generous. The thing that really surprised me was how much I love the cowl neck. I’ve never embraced them before; I felt they were a bit frumpy and not my cup of tea. But I love this! It really is great for making you feel super feminine and even if you don’t like the word, there’s no doubt about it that it’s one heck of a flattering dress. It makes me feel good. That’s the important thing.
It is slightly on the long length, longer than I would usually buy but that adds to the autumn and winter wind swept sort of look that I like. It’s so easy to put on too. Literally pop it on and go. No messing around. Work, rest or play it’s gorgeous.
I have to talk about these knee length riding boots as well. I have SUPER wide calves. I mean I can’t in 95% of boots, even If they say wide fit. But Evans, oh Evans my darlings have created different stretchability sizes. Mine are a 6 (the highest) and the entire back of the boot is an elasticated panel. This matched with the fact they come in wide fit and extra wide fit means they fit me perfect. No struggle or tag teaming to zip them up. (I can even take them off without pulling down the zip…. Like…. Really!) I have to admit since I became the proud owner of these riding boots, I’ve probably worn them 4 out of 5 days with everything from dresses to jeans. They are comfortable and fashionable. They were a dream when I went to Paris. They kept me warm and I could walk for hours. I have to say these are THE best pair of long length boots I’ve ever had. I will be devastated when they become worn out but I now know that Evans stretchability 6 DO fit me and if they fit me I can 99% guarantee they will fit anyone.
