I don’t know about you but I love reading books with my little ones. Their attention span isn’t very long but if I can get them really involved in the book, they occasionally last longer than a few minutes and always go back to it. (About 20 times a day!) So when I found out about the lovely Woolly Tales collection of books I was intrigued.

The Woolly Tales are a collection of books that also include a knitting pattern so you can create the characters from the stories and really bring them to life. They’re super adorable and really affordable which is great. They’re short and simple books, which are perfect for babies and toddlers. Full of colour and amazing characters, it’s a series you’ll fall in love with before you’ve even started knitting the toys.

As for the knitting, it’s relatively simple. A little tricky at times but if you just take your time you’ll get your head around it. I love that it doesn’t really matter how good the toy turns out, in the sense, it can be really tiny or absolutely massive with wonky eyes, it’s all part of the fun. We’re halfway through our Merrybelle Donkey and it’s not looking too bad! Ha!

All of the Woolly Tales books are written and created by husband and wife Andy and Nicola from their home in Surrey. I love supporting small businesses and think they have done an incredible job. The books are SUCH good quality it really is rather outstanding.

The boys love the books, we have a few from the collection but next on our list is to make Myrtle the Pig. The books are only £4.99 with free delivery and it doesn’t take up much fabric to actually knit the toys and you can use whatever colour wool you have sitting around. It really can be whatever you want it to be. That’s the magic of Woolly Tales.

Shop the books over on Etsy and find out more on their website.
