I’m sure I’m not the only one that looks in my wardrobe at the moment and gives a little sigh to those summer dresses that are currently in hibernation. You know the ones that don’t have sleeves or are a little too short to get you through the colder months. Well, let me just throw a massive KLAXON in your direction to say I have a solution! The rather awesome Wingz HQ have come up with a solution for making my summer dresses take me through winter. So, Wingz are not classified as underwear or as a top. I would say Wingz are in a lane of their own and if it helps, they go in my bra drawer! Basically, they are sleeves. Yep, a company that provides sleeves.
I wish I knew about these a few years ago. I went through 4 years of NEVER showing my arms. I wore a cardigan almost every single day which meant my lovely dresses were always hidden. If I could have worn these to give me a little more confidence in my arms, life would have been so much better! I’m now in a place where I’m happy to show my arms and Wingz have another amazing purpose, to keep my arms warm so I can still wear my summer dresses. This Lovedrobe dress was perfect in summer and even autumn with a jacket. But with the Wingz underneath (which actually look like part of the dress) it’s ready for winter. Just throw on tights and boots and I’m ready to go.
The Wingz are elasticated which help them stay in place and they hook under your bra. They are super soft and really comfortable so don’t dig it or feel uncomfortable. I’m wearing size 3 which is 24-28. they were not as stretchy as I was expecting but they were better quality than I expected so that’s fine by me. I’d love to try the lace ones too but they have a variety of sleeves to choose from so take your pick depending on who you want to wear them with.
I think Wingz are such a simple idea but really work. I understand you might want to cover your arms and still wear dresses (although I really hope you realise your arms are fine the way they are!) and like me, you might just want to keep a little warmer. But Wingz work either way and it shows that a simple solution makes such a difference!
