Think Santa has been put on lockdown this year? Think again! Sea Life Birmingham now has a personalised, virtual Santa meet and greet experience! Just when you were at your wit’s end, wondering what do to with the kids (yes, tier 3 parents I salute you!) Sea Life comes along and saves the day with some magical fun. With a little help from Zoom (which you can download for free), we had a 10-minute meet and greet with Santa that lasted so much longer from pure excitement. All morning we were reminding the boys that we were talking to Santa later and of course, talking it about it for the next hour non-stop was pretty entertaining too!

We had our Zoom experience yesterday and it was brilliant! Helpful Elf Binky Tinselsmith greeted us at Sea Life Birmingham along with some of the animals while we sat in my bed and huddled up around the computer. Binky made sure we could shout loud enough so Santa could hear us in his cosy lodge, Cameo made sure he shouted super loud while Marlo was wondering what on earth was happening.
Magically, Santa new what the boys wanted for Christmas (helpful elves do their research beforehand!) & we saw a special meter which told the boys if they were on the naughty or nice list. Cameo couldn’t believe that Santa knew his name and is adamant that Santa must have got his letter which we sent to the North Pole a couple of days before.
As many people as you like can join the zoom call which is a lovely way for the family to get together. Especially during this odd time where it feels like family are missing out on special occasions. This way everyone can see the look on your little one’s faces! Each booking also gets a free child’s ticket to visit Sea Life Birmingham on a date & time that suits you. We’ve been a couple of times now and the boys love it. It’s a great day out with lot’s to see and experience. I know things have changed a bit with how they have to run things due to 2020 events, but I have no doubt it will still be an amazing family day out and we can’t wait to go back once it’s open.
You can also get a recording of your experience, I’ve included the very beginning of our call with Binky on my Instagram but not meeting Santa because I don’t want to ruin the surprise! But I think Cameo’s face in the pictures says it all.
You can buy your experience and find out more by heading to the Sea Life Birmingham website. This fab experience is available all the way until 24th December. Remember to be good! Santa is watching!
