You can’t miss the tartan trend this Autumn / Winter and I thought it was about time I jumped on it. I couldn’t resist this swing tartan dress from the AX PAris Curve range from Very.co.uk. Although I wasn’t sure if I would actually keep it once I got it, it’s now one of my favourite pieces.
The swing style is surprisingly really flattering. I was worried that I would look like a giant bell but I loved the shape! The strong red tartan pattern is eye catching and because it’s unique to the rest of my wardrobe it really stood out when I first wore it. It definitely grabs some attention but only positive so far.
The added detail which really rocks my boat with this dress is the flattering ¾ length arms in a PU material. It couldn’t be more on trend if it tried!
I sized up because I was worried about the swing style not actually having any swing to it. But to be honest, there was no need. It’s a little bit on my shoulders but other then that I really love it.
I matched it with a gold and black chunky chain necklace, some dark black tights and heeled Chelsea style ankle boots. The dress is the real feature so the accessories could be relatively subdued.
The best thing about this dress is that I just felt great in it. It flattered my shape, made me stand tall and I felt like I rocked the latest trend with really little effort.
