This week I have received a Liebster Award from the lovely Lucinda at http://teainteacher.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 Please have a nosy at her blog when you can.
I did a little bit of research and found out that Liebster means ‘beloved / dear’ in German and the actual ‘Award’ itself goes back a few year where the idea was just as it is now, to give appreciation to new people in the blogging world and give them a bit of a pat on the back.
The Liebster Award nomination is given to up and coming bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers. (It is also given to those with less than 1000 followers!) It’s a great way to meet other bloggers, find great blogs and a way to recognise the hard work that goes into creating and maintaining a blog.
So thank you Lucinda! What makes this even sweeter for me is that it was completely unexpected (Lucinda & I are not connected in any way) and made me think people are actually reading my blog… Big smile!
I will therefore carry on the tradition!

11 Facts About Me!:
1) I am up for a laugh – as per picture above!
2) I have just moved into my own home and love being able to run to the toilet no matter what I’m wearing!
3) I have lost over 50lbs in weight… (3.5 stone) over the past 18 months, its started going backwards a bit so getting back on track. But 50lbs is a nice round number!
4) I spent New Year’s Eve in New York and it was the best time of my life. I felt like I was in a film. I would love to travel the world.
5) I love cheese spread & marmite (not at the same time)
6) I have banned myself from watching soap operas (Eastenders etc) as they are too depressing.
7) I am not far from being 30… just over 2 years away but I feel 18.
8) I have a nose twitch.
9) Cardigans are my comfort blanket
10) I used to have a dog called Nipper, over time his name eventually became Nipples.
11) My parents are super heroes.

11 Questions Asked By Lucinda:
1) What’s your favourite book and why?
I used to love reading but stopped a while ago because time is so precious I just didn’t seem to fit it in. The last book I read was 50 Shades Of Grey (I’m sure you’ve heard of it!) It isn’t my favourite but it was the last.
2) What’s your favourite animal?
I love Penguins. My nickname for them is actually ‘Tufty’ because when they first born or ‘baby’ penguins they have this little tuft of hair which is so adorable. The way they wobble around for miles and protect the family. It’s pretty amazing.
3) Describe your style.
My style is very casual with a love of skinny jeans and ballerinas. I am trying to opt for brighter colours and I love prints (butterflies etc)
4) Are there any blogs you check more than others? What do you particularly like about those blogs?
I tend to just search and see what I found. Blogging is like a massive secret society. You can find blog after blog after blog like a continuous chain letter! Incredible.
5) How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Ermmmmm…. I can’t count on my hands so that means too many!
6) Which would you rather be, a badger or a cow?
A cow! I’ve just heard about the badger culling that’s going on. It’s very sad as they are such warm animals, but society has its reasons. I would like to be a cow. I have a great bit of rump! J
7) Do you wear glasses?
Nope. Sometimes I wished I did to look official and some of the glasses are quite cool. But I would lose them, guaranteed.
8) What was the last thing you made?
Does a Roast Dinner Count? Within the last month I have made my own bracelet and attempting to make another one. Its pure beading and takes a long time!
9) What film do you wish you had never seen?
PS. I Love You. It was one of the first films I watched with my other half and I cried like it was actually happening to me! *I have the same name as the lead character so it was hard to not get attached.
10) What do you spend the most money on?
Bills! Bills! Bills! – and at the moment jewellery.
11) What piece of advice would you give your 16 year old self?
So much. Let me break this down. Number 1 Advice would be that credit cards are evil and as soon as you hit 18 you will be bombarded with every store card that ever exists and you do not need one for every single high street shop out there! Number 2 Advice would be, do not spend your time on someone if they are not willing to spend their time on you.
