1. How Would You Like Your Big Day to Be?
All weddings are a matter of personal taste. After all, you don’t have to fit in with what everyone else expects from you. You should try to have wedding day that means something to you and your partner. When I was getting married, it was important that we both had input into the day. Song choices, colours and ideas all need to be considered by both the bride and the groom. After all, if the brides want hot pink or fascia tones, the groom may not feel comfortable with that kind of style. Considering what you both want is relevant to the day being a success. There are so many different themes and choices to choose from. Many people are choosing the vintage theme. This is because both brides and grooms can enjoy the proceedings. Some people like to have a glitzy affair in a manor house. Others prefer an event that is a little lower key and intimate. Whatever you choose will be utterly perfect, but you need to sit with your partner and discuss what you would both like.
2. What Kind of Cake Would You Like?
Let’s be honest, choosing the cake is one of the most fun parts of the big day. Going to sampling sessions and tasting events is nothing short of perfect. I love every minute of cake tasting. If you are keen to have the perfect wedding cake, consider what you both like. If you like chocolate cake, then go for it. You can decorate it in any way that you want. Some people choose to have lots of little cupcakes arranged on a stand. This is an excellent way to share your cake with your guests. After all, you are not going to eat it all yourself. This is an excellent way to make sure that everyone gets a slice, and nothing goes to waste.
Others prefer a more traditional cake that is made up of multiple tiers. This is going to be the next big trend in weddings and many people are keen to take their wedding cake back to basics. Simple cakes in whites and creams look elegant. What is more, simple frosting and delicate icing looks incredible! Sometimes, less really is more. Tailor the cake to the theme of your big day. Your cake is relatively important, so you want to make sure that is nothing short of perfect. O used Pinterest to get inspiration for my cake. It’s an excellent tool to use to get inspired.
3. Choosing the Perfect Dress
Whether you are a curvy girl or a slender girl, choosing your amazing wedding dress can result in a lot of tears. Every bride wants to look nothing short of beautiful on their big. One of the best ways to choose the ultimate wedding dress is to try everything on in the bridal shop. This can be annoying for some as they don’t want to stand in a shop trying every dress on in there. But, if you want a well-rounded view of how you will look, cast aside your stereotypes of certain dresses and try them all on. That’s what I did, and I was so glad that I did. Choosing a wedding dress should be all about you, not what others want. There is a lot of wedding ideas and advice online in regards to dresses. Make sure that you use it so that you can find your perfect dress. Generally, you need to make sure that you compliment your style. If you are something of a tomboy, you don’t have to go for a princess dress. Avoid fashionable gowns. These will date quickly, as will your photos.
4. Stationery and Invitations: Style Does Matter
Many brides do not realise how much stress they will feel by choosing wedding stationery. For me, it felt a very insignificant part of the day. Do you want to give your guests a glimpse into your proceedings? If so, you need to carefully consider what style of invitation and save the dates that you will send. It is nicer to keep invites plain and simple. You don’t have to have something fancy and over the top. Again, sticking to whites and creams looks simple and classy. But, it can also tie in with your chosen theme. If you are going for a vintage wedding, you can incorporate tiny bunting on to your invite. This is an excellent way to show people what kind of theme you will be having. Hopefully, they will dress for the occasion too. My guests did, and the photos looked perfect.
5. Picking the Perfect Theme
We’ve talked about themes throughout the blog, but not actually considered the choices. Of course, the vintage keeps coming back. Bunting, wooden crates and teacups and saucers can look very sweet. But, if you are not a fan of the vintage theme, then this is not going to work for you. Some people are opting for Alice in Wonderland themes. Others are choosing more glamorous affairs. A steampunk wedding theme sounds novel amid the usual choices. It’s not a time-bound concept either, so your pictures won’t look dated. Costume and clockwork in mind, the event will surely be out of this world.
Choosing a theme is important. But, you also need to make sure that the colours that you choose to compliment your groom and your bridesmaids. Not everyone looks great in teal. Think carefully about your theme and the overall look of the relevant people in your day. You want everyone in the wedding party to feel comfortable. Therefore, choosing a theme that suits everyone and their personal style is a great way to go. You can ask the girls for ideas. They did plan your bachelorette party, and it turned out super fun with personalized tees for the best bridesmaids and bride, of course. Do remember that you don’t have to consider others; it is your day after all. You can be a diva if you want to be!
