As I keep saying, I love a bargain and boot sales are my best friend during the warmer months. I’m actually quite anxious that now we are in October lots of the ones where I live are coming to an end!
The Sunday boot sale I go to is massive, hundreds of stalls and it’s a proper ‘clear your house’ type of boot sale. Not really full of traders or businesses. It’s generally people just having a clear out and such a good time to get a bargain.
I went a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t make it today because I’m still poorly but I realised I hadn’t mentioned my last brilliant boot sale bargain!
So – a tip for frugal wannabes and potential boot sale hunters. If you take time out to stay until the end of the boot sale. You will get the best possible chance of a deal. The boot sale I go to tends to start packing up around 12pm. I get there for around 9.30pm so I can have a decent browse but then still catch the stalls where people just want to get rid!
This was my recent bargain:
Red or Dead Perlen Lace Printed Handbag
It’s a lovely tan and mint green colour; it’s good quality synthetic leather with little pockets on the inside. What makes it even better is that is the tan strap is removable making it great for work or play! Oh and did I mention is still has the tag on! Yes!!
So after my research, this bag brand new would cost around £40.00, a ‘new with tags’ versions is on eBay for £24.00.
So how much did I pay for this lovely bag?
From a boot sale, just before the lady was packing up….

I kid you not.
So this proves that you can get good quality, fashionable items at a ridiculous price! Just be friendly, smile and don’t underestimate the power of a boot sale bargain!
