The sun is out and suddenly all talk has turned to summer holidays. Sun, sea, sand and…. (Insert dramatic music here) swimwear! Always a difficult decision to make. I have been know to order handfuls of different swimwear in order to try and find one that I feel semi comfortable in. I don’t know if you have seen all the social media pictures going around about how to have a bikini body? Basically, there are a set of instructions to make you bikini ready. It’s actually really simple. You have a body… and you pop it in a bikini! Amazing right?! Well, as it sounded so easy, I thought I’d give it a go!

I’ve never worn a bikini before. For many reasons including the fact that my own confidence wasn’t up to scratch but also finding a plus size bikini with enough support and one I actually liked wasn’t an easy task. Well, Fashion World came to the rescue and along with Atomic Kitten babe Liz McClarnon they created a fun and fresh swimwear range. I actually had the pleasure of interviewing Liz about the range a little while ago and you can watch us having a good old chat here.

First up I think the bikini looks great with a plain white vest top. I would quite happily walk around a beach like these and still feel cool and it looks so fresh with the bright blue.

This is the Cherry bikini set which is in a gorgeous bright sea blue colour with a punchy red cherry print. It’s very kitsch and quirky without being overboard. This bikini has a number of perks which makes it incredibly wearable. It has removable foam cups which makes a huge difference. Sometimes the padded cups in swimwear don’t sit right and makes for a dodgy looking bust. At least with this bikini, even though the cups are perfect for me, can be taken out if you don’t want them.

Of course a sarong wrap would work perfectly with a bikini and you can use it to cover up as much as you want too.

The halter neck strap is quite wide which makes it comfortable and it doesn’t pull your neck down so you can stand up tall and do your Baywatch walk. The bottoms also have elasticated drawstring on the hips which means you can make them as wide as you like.

How to wear a bikini? Take a body and pop it in a bikini. Yes, wearing a bikini isn’t for everyone. To be honest, the only thing that would stop me is the thought of comments or looks from other people.  Stretch marks, blemishes and wobbly bits unite! Generally speaking, why should that matter? This is my body and it doesn’t really matter whether anyone else likes it. As long as I feel comfortable and happy that’s all that matters Oh and the blue looks amazing against a tan. Just saying.

I love this bikini, there is something about it that helps me feel confident and I think that’s to do with how well made it is. The sides don’t fold, the straps are thick and the bottoms are wide. As far as a bikini goes this works at giving me a little boost to wear one for the first time.

Brilliantly, this bikini available from Fashion world in sizes 12 – 32. There is alsoa also a flamingo print that I love and they have some gorgeous swim dresses too. Great to have some fashionable plus size swimwear!
