I can’t help but browse River Islands rails of clothes and touch the vast array of fabrics, drink up the bright pops of colour and dribble over the edgy accessories. Every single time I go into River Island I literally wonder around in a little dream world.
River Island goes up to a size 18 and in terms of their tops and jackets, I find them quite generous. The bottoms are a slightly different story, or that could just me that MY bottom is a different story!
After me recent dream walk through my local branch I thought I would share a couple of my favourite items and torture myself with a wishlist.
1. GREY JACQUARD BODYCON DRESS – I adore this dress. I’m a fan of Jacquard print and this s the perfect dress up / dress down dress. Layer it, leaver it but just work it!
2. DARK PURPLE FLORAL DEVORE OVERSIZED T-SHIRT – The colour says it all. Really. It does. Lush.
3. MULTICOLOURED GEOMETRIC PRINT KIMONO – I can think of so many things to wear this with. The geometric print calls my name and I love the orange.
4. GREY TWEED UNFASTENED BLAZER – Rock it & Roll. This jacket is super versatile. I could wear it to work but quite easily wear it over the grey bodycon dress over at numero one.
5. BLACK EXTRA LONG HIGH WAISTED LEGGINGS – A wardrobe stable. High waisted gived me a curvier, sleeker shape. Who doesn’t want that!?
6. BLACK CONTRAST PANEL TWIST LOCK ANKLE BOOTS – My new best friend. Ankle boots are my fashion must have right now. The gold details on these boots is just perfect and I like the quirky ankle lock.
7. GUNMETAL TONE TWISTED LINK NECKLACE – We need a bit of chunky bling. Gunmetal isn’t too in your face but the large shape is!
I chose these items because they can all be mixed and matched to create different outfits. The jacket over the dress, the dress over the leggings, the purple t shirt over the dress… the list goes on!
