The boys have always loved being crafty and arty, but over the past few months, it’s become something they really enjoy doing. We did a painting session the other day and it was the quietest they had been in ages! I couldn’t believe it. The concentration on their faces was brilliant. So now, I’m always on the lookout for fun, crafty things to do. We’ve been a fan of Little Brian Paint Sticks for over a year now and we’re super excited that they’ve added some new and exciting things to their product range! What do I actually mean by mess-free? Well, Little Brian Paint Sticks are child-friendly solid paints (in amazingly vivid colours) that twist up and down like a glue stick (or lipstick!) so they can be used like crayons. They can be used on everything from paper to glass and you don’t need all those messy brushes or water that usually ends up getting spilt over everything. They’re also great for on the move crafting in the car or for taking to a relatives house. Plus, the paint dries in less than 60 seconds. It’s just such a good product for little hands.
Little Briant Paint Sticks are also made from recyclable plastic which is a great feature too and definitely a reason to consider using them over other similar products. We tried a few new Little Brian Paint Sticks products and here’s what we thought;

This mini art station is brand new to the range and although we had one similar, this has been thoroughly improved! It stands up like an easel so Cameo can use it on the floor, on the table or on his lap. One side is a whiteboard and 6 mini paint sticks which can be used on this. The other side is a chalkboard and includes 6 chalk sticks that again, are more like twist-up crayons so really great for mess-free messy play. The art station also has a clip at the top which works as a handle but can also clip paper on to the station that your little one can paint on (and it actually stays clipped in). The Art Station also includes 10 sheets of A5 paper to get your little one started and a duster to clean the boards and start creating all over again!
One thing I really like about this Little Brian Paint Sticks Mini Art Station is the storage. So once your little one has finished creating their works of art, you can pop all the paint sticks and chalks into the art station so you don’t lose anything. Perfect! Also, you don’t have to just use the paint sticks on the paper. We do things like using potatoes as stamps and painting and printing using bubble wrap. All those little things can be a world of entertainment for little ones!

The face paints are not new to the brand but they’re new to us! We do love a bit of face painting in our house if Cameo sits still for long enough! On this occasion, I managed to create my own version of half a butterfly on Cameo before he was adamant it was my turn. These face painting sticks are fun, clean and mess-free. There’s no need for sponges, water or brushes and they don’t feel super wet on the skin. They apply easily, just like using a pen and dry quickly too.
There’s also a how-to booklet included with 12 designs to help you on your way. They’re not too complicated and you just go with it and have fun! There are 12 face paint colours included which is more than enough. The face paints didn’t irritate mine or the boy’s skin. I’m always wary and try a little bit ad first to make sure there’s no reaction and on this occasion the Little Brian Face Pain Sticks were great!
Little Brian Paint Sticks Paint-A-Puzzle – Fun at the Farm RRP £9.99 Available From Argos.
This Paint-A-Puzzle is new to the Little Brian Paint Sticks range and went down incredibly well in our house. It’s a giant puzzle which Cameo put together on the floor, along with a little help from his little brother Marlo and his Daddy. It’s a real family activity and everyone can get involved. Once the 12 sturdy cardboard puzzle pieces are together. It’s time to get painting! There are six paint sticks included, with really vibrant colours and they just glide over the puzzle pieces. The boys loved painting the puzzle, and to be far, so did me and daddy!
The paints are water-soluble so easy to wash off little fingers and all of the Little Brian Paint Sticks products are great for independent play or a great way of families doing something together. The mess-free messy play is always a highlight for me because who likes cleaning up for longer than you actually played?! Exactly!
