I’m pretty sure you’ll all know about Baby Shark by now. If not, a little theme tune reminder; Baby Shark do do do do do do, Baby Shark do do do do do do, Baby Shark…. Ahhhh see you’ve got it now! It’s a global sensation with over 3.3 billion views, so I’m sure you know it. Well, my little ones LOVE Baby Shark, so when a fabulous Baby Shark themed Easter basket turned up, I knew it was going to be a success!
The basket was filled with Baby Shark toys and a couple of chocolate treats so that we could create an Easter Egg hunt. Perfect for the current lockdown situation we’re in. When the basket arrived I had to hide it from the boys or I knew it would be pulled apart in seconds. Along with the toys were some great Baby Shark Easter Hunt themed activity sheets. From cut out masks (which Cameo LOVED wearing) to colouring in pages which are great for rainy days. You can download the activity sheets for free here.
I woke up early this morning and cut out the clues from the activity sheets and stuck them around the garden. Then when the boys had had their breakfast I surprised them with the Baby Shark Singing Puppet with Tempo Control. We actually have one of these already and the boys love it (so much that they often fight over it) so now they have two it’s a much easier life for me! It’s basically an interactive puppet. So you move the mouth to hear the Baby Shark song. The faster you move the mouth the faster the song goes. It’s great for general entertainment but you can also use it for things like musical statues and chairs.
Once Cameo got over the initial excitement of having a blue Baby Shark Singing Puppet, I explained that we were going on an easter hunt to look for more Baby Shark toys and chocolate eggs. Queue lot’s of random shouting and trying to get out of the locked back door. I explained that as we got closer to the surprises, Baby Shark would speed up it’s singing!
So off we went. They were on the look out for really cute Baby Shark Sound Cubes. I haven’t seen these before but they’re pretty cute! They’re soft, square and stackable sound cubes. You squeeze them and they play the Baby Shark Song. They come in Baby Shark, Mummy Shark and Daddy shark colours and are fab little toys to throw around and play with.
Obviously, they found the toys and the chocolate. It wasn’t long before Cameo made one of the Baby Shark Sound Cubes an essential part of the contents of his backpack! (It’s where all of his fave things go). Also, word of warning, make sure you pop them away at night time. We woke up at 3am last night to see to Marlo, and trod one one of the sound cubes. Funny in hindsight, not at the time haha!
