I wish I could tell you how much I wanted a Mr Frosty when I was younger! It ALWAYS got circled in the Argos catalogue at Christmas but somehow never made it under the tree. Am I the only one? Seriously! I still remember the TV adverts and desperately wanting to try and make my own amazing ice desserts. It just looks magical! But for some reason or other, I never got my dream to come true. Until now.

That’s right, decades later I’ve finally given the Mr Crunchy Ice Maker a try, via Cameo & Marlo (obviously) and it’s been fun! It’s such a cool retro toy that hasn’t lost its magic and really made Cameo and Marlo smile.
It’s basically a crunchy ice maker so you can make slushy kinds of desserts, it comes with ice lolly moulds & an ice shape maker. You just need to add ice & fruit juice! Really simple. The only prep required really is to make up some drinking squash and to leave your ice to melt a little, or give it a little bash beforehand so it’s in smaller bits. If the ice is too large Mr Frosty just won’t be able to crunch it.

It’s really easy to use, the boys instantly understood that they had to press his hat down and turn the red handle on his back & the boys worked well as a team which was pretty epic to watch. The ultimate aim is to make some tasty frozen treats. The winner, as you’d expect were the ice lolly moulds. The boys love to make and then eat their own creations. It could be biscuits, cakes or ice lollies, they love it, so I knew that would go down well.
To make the ice drink or dessert, you just crunch the ice using Mr Frosty and then add some juice of any kind to it. It comes with a cute Penguin juice dispenser just to add a little bit more fun to the process. We used blackcurrant juice, but any kind of cordial or fruit juice would work wonders. It also comes with an ice tray with fruity shapes. Plus, it comes with two very cute bowls and spoons which the boys loved eating their yummy ice treats from!

Mr Frosty I available at Argos and is a fab gift that will see little ones through every season, hot or cold. It’s for ages 3 up and no batteries required (woop!).
