Just over 27 years ago I was born. We know how nature works and that was thanks to my wonderful Parents. My dad is my hero. He has 9 lives and is the magic man. My dads time will come but today is a special day for my mum. (Hi Mum!)
It is her birthday today, while I won’t disclose her age (if I do she will throw her slippers at me!) I will tell you that she is a beautiful, mature, strong woman who has brought me up to be the same.
I moved out over a year ago now and my mum is like my left arm. Not because she did my washing but because she’s my mum.
My mum is special. Why? Because she just is. You know throughout life, that roller-coaster we all go on. Our own journeys of happiness, trauma, sadness, madness and the rest. Well, my mums had a roller-coaster ride that you couldn’t imagine. Believe me, the ticket cost is priceless and you wouldn’t want to get on because you probably wouldn’t survive. My mum could write a book, actually, she could write a series.
Mi Madre. Mum. Mother. Mama. Mummy. She is a survivor. She has will power you wouldn’t believe and her ever pleasing, willing to do anything for those she loves, well, that’s a gold bullion bar right there.
My mum deserves the best in the world. I can’t give her thousands of pound, diamond earrings or a house in the country, all that she deserves and more.
But I can give her this blog post. My little bit of the mahoosive internet to say this;
Mum. Happy Birthday, I love you and you are the shining light of my life. Keep smiling through the grey clouds and enjoy every day that gives you sunshine. Thank you for every day and thank you for being you.
