If you know me at all, you know my first fashion love is flirty florals. I love bright floral prints. I couldn’t tell you the exact reason but I suppose its because they are subtly in your face. Nothing like an indirect statement. My latest flirty floral piece is this lovely long sleeve swing dress from Simply Be. It’s pretty bright, just the way I like it and is full on floral. Theres no hiding when it comes to wearing this dress!
I would say that the dress comes up on the small side so I sized up and it’s perfect. It’s a lovely smooth and sketchy jersey fabric that actually feels like really good material. considering it’s skater style (which means in nips in at the waist and flares out) it doesn’t fly away in the wind, because of the thicker fabric. It’s great for spring because it will keep you a little warmer and you can forget the jacket. It’s a statement dress that i can put on and go. It’s a perfect combination when matched with tights and ankle boots. Such a simple ensemble but works well and the dress is soooooooo comfortable.
The dress is available in sizes 12-32 (yay!) and it has a small frill detail on the shoulders and along the chest. When I first put it on I felt quite… flambyoant! But after a few minutes (and checking myself out in the mirror) I realised it wasn’t as puffy as it felt and it actually looks really good. The frills definitely add a flirty effect to the dress. I’ve worn it a few times now and it’s become one of my favourite pieces of 2016 so far.
