I’m sure we all have a little black dress in the wardrobe somewhere for party emergencies. Well this laser cut shift dress from Boohoo Plus has made its way to the front of my wardrobe. It’s a little black dress (obviously) but I love the laser cut details, almost floral in its design it adds a little something extra. It’s feminine, pretty and dressed up it could even have a little sex appeal.
My arms are my real self-confidence problem area and it’s still the place I fight with before deciding what to wear. I have to say that the detail in the sleeves (and also the bottom hemline) really makes a difference and I feel almost distracts the eye. Now, I’m not saying my arms should be distracted from. They are marvellous in themselves, I mean I can hug and do all the great things that having arms let me do…. But sometimes I feel a little put out by their size. It’s my confidence journey that I’m always harping on about. Well, the sleeves on this dress really do it for me. It’s that simple.
The length is great on this dress and the fit is true to size. I must add that it is a shift dress so may well get the ‘visible belly line’ but who cares!? The material has a crepe feel to it and is super stretchy. Easy for day or night in my opinion plus it’s a super bargain and available in sizes 16-24.
As for the over sized fedora hat, I love it but I didn’t wear it nearly enough last year so I’ll be making up for that in 2015 and the Whatever clutch bag. Well, says it all really!
