I tend to via away from shirts because it’s so hard to find a good fitting one. Its usually the problem of gaping buttons and exposed boobs, too tight on the arms or just drab and generally ill fitting. Think a square tea cosy going over a round tea pot, there you go, now you have the idea!
I have found the odd gem or two. NEXT have some great shirts, especially for work. Smart and sleek although quite rigid and uncomfortable if you are not in a formal environment.
Today I had a VERY brief browse in Primark. I tend to not go for their tops unless it has a bit of stretch as I need a bit of ‘give’ for my curves. Still pushing the boundaries of my self confidence I found this beautiful bright cobalt blue shirt with a pretty red, white and black pattern. I can’t quite work out the pattern, its an almost butterfly / petal design.
There are little gold buttons on the sleeves, although the sleeves don’t stretch at all so the buttons don’t quite do up on my puffy arms, but my technique is to fold those little bits underneath so it looks like the sleeves are cut that way! A great technique to get sleeves to fit bigger arms.
The cotton material is really soft and floaty with plenty of space over the bust area. So great if that is wear you struggle for shirts to fit. I really like this top, it’s a casual shirt, nice and brights with plenty of space for any body shape.
