If you follow me on twitter you have probably seen me begging brands to give us some plus size summer pastels clothing. Candy colours are one of the big trends for Spring & Summer 2014. They were all over the press days and London Fashion Week yet I have struggled to find ANY plus size pieces in fondant colours! I was getting quite irritated about it and then I found this…
My faith was restored in plus size fashion when I saw Yours Clothing were one of the first to bring out some pretty pastels! This Pink and Mint striped light weight jumper caught my eye at British Plus Size Fashion Weekend. I was drawn to how light weight it is and it’s perfect for the warmer weather. A vest top underneath and it’s good to go. This is my outfit of the day.
My key thing other than the colour was that it had elbow length sleeves. I like a little cover up and this ticked every box. It has stretch and felt so soft. It had to be mine! It’s available in size 16-32 and is £22.00. I think it’s such a bargain. I love a bit of casual wear, something to pop on with some jeans and converse. It’s so on trend but so easy and simple. The mint, pink and white stripes I think are actually quite flattering. (Who said big girls can’t wear stripes?!).
The jumper is super comfortable and it’s going to be sunshine favourite. I also got the indigo jeggings from Yours Clothing which I can just pull on in a second. I’m 5”6 and mine are the 32” length. To be honest, I probably could have chosen the 30”. This is great for be though because I hate it when my jeans or jeggings are too short. It’s uncomfortable and I’m not a fan of the ankle swinging look. These are perfect.
I ‘road’ tested them and they didn’t go baggy at all which was a bit of a surprise. The jeggings are pretty thick which is why I think they kept their shape and because they are dark indigo they look like jeans more so than jeggings. These are available in size 14-28 and if you want a comfortable, fashionable alternative to jeans then these are perfect. (No camel toe or baggy bum!)
I am seriously impressed by this outfit. Don’t get me wrong, I adore dresses but it can be quite difficult to find fashionable casual wear in bigger sizes so this is a bit of a dream for me. In summer I plan to wear it with some pastel pumps or the jumper will be great with some denim shorts.
Roll on the sunshine and thanks to Yours Clothing for the pretty pastels!
