I had a NEXT voucher that was burning a hole in my pocket but every time I went in store in seemed that size 18 was the cut off point (even though on line they go up to a 22 and also have a plus size range). This hole was burning and burning until one day I thought I’m just going to buy something. I just need to spend this voucher! So I saw this heart print textured dress, which kept catching my eye. I knew from the start it was going to be too short as a dress on me. It was only available to a size 20 (I want a 24) but I thought let’s just give it a try on and see what happens. It’s only a number right?
I tried it on and I loved it. The coral colour is perfect for the summer and it’s a soft almost crepe material. I like the scooped back top as it gives it a little twist, plus I’ve worn it back to front as I kind like a little cleavage! I love the rainbow heart print that you can see on closer inspection, it’s pretty bright and I’m a fan. ALSO, did I mention it has pockets! yay! There is one thing you need to know about me, I love dress with pockets.
It is super short on me so matching it with leggings or ripped jeans is going to be my way forward. I actually really like it! It’s super stretchy and really comfortable. It’s reminded that labels and ‘supposed to be worn’ ideas can sometimes be thrown out of the window! Wear a skirt as a dress or a dress as a top. Ignore the sizes and judge on how you feel when you wear it. Imagine how much you’re missing out on by NOT doing this!
This dress is a winner and when I’m of on my beach holiday it WILL be worn as a dress…. At home it’ll be a top. It’s actually fit wise considering it 2 sizes too small, other than it being a bit short, it’s aWin Win.
