We’re really lucky that we have a garden. We know how lucky we are because before we moved to Nottingham we had zero outdoors space. No balcony, no communal area and the nearest big open space was about a 15 -minute walk. So we’ really appreciate having a garden and make as much use of it as possible. So come rain or shine, Cameo and Marlo will be out there having fun. But eventually, running around can get a little boring, so what else can you do?

Caterpillar Steel Dump Truck
This is one serious truck. It’s a super sturdy real steel construction with large 16” wheels and looks just like a real one! The boys spend ages with this in the garden loading it up with everything from pebbles to plastic balls. Of course, it’s also great for imaginative play with the boys pushing It around and pretending they’re drivers, builders and even rubbish collectors.
It’s a really impressive toy and because of how robust it is, I know it’s going to last for years and will be a great hand me down to other little ones in our family. Plus, if your little ones are anything like mine, it can withstand being stood on, thrown on the floor and being dosed with the hosepipe!
Caterpillar Steel Wheel Loader
This is another piece of imprssive toy machinery and is just as good quality as the truck above. Made from steel, robust and great looking. The boys eyes were wide in impressive shock when they took it out of the box!
The boys can move the articulated arm and bucket on this loader to scoop up dirt, gravel or pretty much anything they find hanging around in the garden. (Think clothes pegs, leaves and other toys).So it’s great for hand-eye coordination. Just like the Dump Truck, it’s made from real steel so it’s made to last. It’s not like it’s plastic counterparts which give in after a few rough encounters with the boys, no way. This one is here to last!
Gazillion Bubble Storm
We are big fans of Gazillion in our household. Their bubble range is epic and actually works! Who doesn’t love bubbles? The Bubble Storm does what it says, it creates a huge storm of constant bubbles which are great for chasing around the garden. It. Produces approximately blows 4500 bubbles per minute which is pretty amazing. It does require 6 AA batteries so make sure you’ve got a good supply.
The machine comes with a small bottle of bubble solution that you pop into the machine’s holder, tip it up and watch the bubbles magically appear. No effort required for lot’s and lot’s of fun outdoors time. It’s also small enough to take to a park or large outdoor space. The boys always begin by being mesmerised by the bubbles and within a few seconds, they’re running all over the place trying to catch as many as they can. It’s a good way of keeping them active and have fun at the same time.

Use toys or activities which can get your little one’s imaginations running around a well as their little feet and no matter what you decide to too, don’t be too hard on yourself as a parent.
