If you have a pre-schooler or toddler, I’m pretty sure you know about Bing by now! Bing is a cute pre-school bunny who learns life lessons in a brilliant animated cartoon series. We follow Bing and his friends as they learn what they should or shouldn’t be doing. He is looked after by Flop, I’d call him a guardian, but he is a stuffed toy who is like a parent figure to Bing.
Whenever Bing learns a new lesson or makes a mistake, the key thing to shout is ‘It’s a Bing Thing!’. The boys love the programme because it’s super vivid and relatable. The boys watch it and tell me if Bing is wrong or right for the decisions he is making. I just think Bing is super cute and wish he was real haha.
We were given this lovely Bing Shape Sorting Train to review which Marlo was instantly attached too. It’s a sturdy wooden train with moving wheels and a bright red light on the front of the engine. When you press the red train chimney it plays the theme tune from the show and Marlo loves doing this.
The train comes with 8 different illustrated wooden shapes and each one has the characters picture on one side and their name on the other. These can then be fitted into the corresponding slots on each side of the train or can be put away inside the train itself by removing the lid.
This is a really simple toy but has so much to it. It really encourages so many forms of educational play but is fun at the same time, especially if you have a Bingster at home! It develops hand-eye-coordination, problem-solving, learning shapes, colours, letters and words. Plus, because it’s made of wood, you know it’s going to take the rock and rolls of toddler play.
It’s recommended for ages 18months+ and batteries are required.
