The most Instagrammable places in Antalya, Türkiye

This post is from a press trip with Jet2 & the Turkiye Tourist Board but all views and images are my own.

I recently went for some lovely winter sun and flew to Antalya, Türkiye with Jet2. Just to clarify, Turkey actually changed their name earlier this year, it is now officially Türkiye. Back to my trip, Antalya is beautiful and if you’re a content creator or Instagram fan like me, there were so many stunning locations for pictures. An Instagrammers dream! My flights were from Manchester direct to Antalya with Jet2. It was super smooth and the service was great. It was also a really spacious aircraft so thumbs up for that! This is my first mini guide from my trip with some of the most Instagrammable places in Antalya. Let’s get into it!

The Amphitheatre of Aspendos

One of the highlights of my trip, and in my top 10 places I’ve ever visited is the Aspendos Amphitheatre. The 1800 years old structure is one of the best-preserved amphitheatres and it really takes your breath away. I walked up the stairs to the top arches (I was a little wobbly but got there) and it didn’t disappoint. The way the light shines through the arches and all around the amphitheatre is incredible. You can easily spend an hour or so here taking various shots. Simply amazing. If you’re planning any holidays to Turkey I’d highly recommend Jet2holidays who can help you tick this off your must-see list. Also, a big thank you to Dave from Man Vs Globe who took some of these shots for me, I call them my next album cover. Ha!

Republic Square

If you head to Kaleiçi, Antalya Old City make sure you visit Republic Square. Here you can get a Bird’s Eye view of the city on one side & the Mediterranean sea on the other. Both are really nice. It’s a popular tourist spot but you can capture images of the Old City from above before you go exploring and everyone waits their turn to get a picture. It wasn’t super busy in November, so a great time to consider going.

Umbrella Street

Before you leave Kaleici, take a walk through Umbrella street. My tip would be to visit here in the daytime to get the best shots. Over 600 bright umbrellas hung in the air make the perfect holiday pic backdrop! You can find umbrella street here: Tuzcular, 07100 Muratpaşa/Antalya.

Hadrian’s Gate

Staying in Kaleiçi, Hadrian’s Gate is the only remaining entrance gate in the walls that surround the old city. Built-in Roman times it’s super impressive with so much history. Don’t forget to head to the bottom of the main arch for pictures as well as have it in the background! Beware, the cobbles are slippery so wear comfy and sensible shoes!

Land of Legends

Famous for its theme park, you’ll be struck by the Disney-like castle that greets you. It’s so pretty in the daytime and is completely lit up from dusk. It’s a great photo opp, or as a tip from me, you can make some great day-to-night Tik-Tok style transitions here. Plus, if you walk around the shopping arcade after you hit the rollercoasters the walkways are lit up beautifully creating another Insta-worthy photo.

Nemo Restaurant

Did you even go to Antalya if you didn’t visit Nemo? That’s why we need to post on Instagram, right? Well, Nemo is one of those restaurants that is made for social media. Based in the Land of Legends shopping district, it’s a restaurant with an aquarium. When I say aquarium, I mean it takes up one entire side of the restaurant and you will be eating next to sharks. Plus, if food is your thing, everything we had was incredibly Instagrammable and tastes just as good as it looks.

The ancient city of Side

There’s so much to see in Side that I’ve given it a mention of its own, from the Temple of Apollo which is lovely at night because it’s all lit up to the stunning harbour that gives you the most magical sunset shots. It’s a tourist town so lots of small shops with Turkish souvenirs to take home but it all sets the scene for some Instagram-worthy content.

7Mehmet

If you’re looking for some authentic and traditional Turkish food in a photogenic location, this is it. 7Mehmet had some of the best food I tried in Antalya and the plates were an IG foodies dream! With outdoor terraced dining, the lighting is, as you would imagine, just great and the view overlooking the sea is a bonus.

Green plants and white table cloths on tables

There are so many places to visit in Antalya, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I visited in mid-November and the weather was like a UK summer. Warm and sunny, with the occasional shower. There are so many photo opportunities from the cobbled streets in Antalya Old City to bundles of bright pink Bougainvillea flowers scattered almost everywhere which will make any Instagram picture pop! There’s one thing for sure, Jet2holidays provides luxury holidays to the prettiest locations!
