The Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is a sight-to-be hold, despite being a lot smaller in real life than how big they make it look in the films. It’s all about the camera angles!
It’s an incredible statue to see in real-life and due to its notoriety, it can be a bucket list opportunity that many enjoy. The spot attracts a lot of people and so it’s good to book the ferry visit in advance where possible. This will make sure that you get to see it whilst you’re over there.
This spot is also a great place for photo opportunities of the cityscape from afar.
A Broadway show
For those that are looking to visit the city this year, a trip to a Broadway show cannot be missed! It’s a great way to enjoy the talents that New York has to offer. There’s always something on that’s worth watching and if you’re lucky, you may be able to see a star or two in the show too.
Broadway, like the West End, is a great place to come for those who love the theatre and can be a great new experience for those who typically don’t watch it!
Times Square
Times Square is a typical place for tourists to visit. While it can be quite the nightmare at peak times, it’s an area that must be ticked off. The bright lights of the billboards alone will have you standing there in awe for at least a good ten minutes.
There’s a lot going on there both in terms of street entertainment, as well as plenty of food and drinks places to explore.
Observation decks
The observation decks available throughout the city are a great spot to enjoy the views of the city from high up above. They’re unlike any viewing spots you’ll find in other parts of the world and there are several in this city to enjoy. A couple of favourites for those who are visiting for the first time are the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock.
The rest of the city
Finally, when it comes to seeing the rest of the city, it’s an absolute must to get the New York City pass. This pass is going to be helpful in you seeing everything else that is left to be explored in the city.
