The Autumn / Winter 2013 Trends are here and in full flow. If you’ve missed it then where have you been? One of the biggest developments of the season is TARTAN! Yes the old Scottish traditional material. Don’t get it twisted though, this look is far from a load of bagpipes and I am already well ahead with my wish list.
To keep my purse strings as long as possible I have created a wish list for the Tartan look so I can have a feast for the eyes before I reach for the pennies.
What is Tartan?

1. A woolen or worsted cloth woven with stripes of different colors and widths crossing at right angles, worn chiefly by the Scottish Highlanders, each clan having its own distinctive plaid.
2. Any plaid.
On my look out for tartan pieces I have found some lovely items, but not always called ‘Tartan’. The pattern has been referred to as Plaid, Chequered, Checked etc. Basically interlocking stripes. As long as you like it, that is what matters!
