I had a lovely day at Borough Market yesterday with two of my favourite girlies. It was nice to just stroll around tasting cheese, snuggling with a hot chocolate and feasting on a pub lunch. Theres nothing like a walk around London on a bright chilly day that really gets the cobwebs out and reminds me why life isn’t so bad after all. While we were out we took a minute to grab some outfit snaps next to a pretty cool wall full of street art. I love how you can go from an old fashioned cobbled street to a graffiti covered wall in a blink of an eye in London.
I wore a basic tunic dress from Simply Be that has a 70’s style high neck. At first it was a little annoying having something so close as it’s not what I would usually wear but after a while I forgot it was high neck. As for the double chin, I couldn’t care less. I love the brightness of this dress and it’s actually called bright tomato which I find rather humorous. It’s super stretchy an great over leggings. It’s one of those easy to wear, get up and go pieces that just needs a necklace or something simple to change it up.
I know a lot of people find such bright block colour off putting, but once you get over the initial ‘I’m brighter than 90% of people in this room‘ feeling, it’s actually really empowering. This tunic dress is really comfortable and is available up to a size 32, I know some of the larger sizes are running out of stock quickly so grab it while you can. It’s skater style so I know thats a look that works for me, it skims over my hips and I know I won’t have problems with it being too tight around my tummy or hips because it flares out. I always say, plus size doesn’t have to mean dark and drab colours.
It was REALLY cold this weekend and went down to around 2 degrees. Considering a couple of weeks ago we were still at 11 or 12 I’m struggling to settle! I did wear my amazing Navabi wool coat which shocks me every time. It’s so warm and I didn’t even layer up. I should have worn gloves and a scarf to be honest but this coat is an actual dream come true. considering how light it is, it’s warmer than my thick parker and so much easier to wear.
