If I have a no make-up day the one thing that doesn’t skip the routine is my lips. Whether its balm, gloss or lipstick. I NEED something on my lips.

So where do I start!?
A good start is to say that this lip gloss was a Pure Beauty Awards Finalist in September 2013 for ‘ Best New Lip Launch’. That gives you a heads up.
I have the Proto-Col L.E.D Lip gloss in ‘Abigails Sparkle’. It’s a deep pinky red colour with a hint of sparkle. The colour is quite deep so great for Autumn evenings out. I must say compared to some lip glosses, this one feels really light and not even a little bit sticky. It doesn’t make me feel like I need to talk like a ventriloquist.
It doesn’t dry my lips out either. The colder weather always makes my lips a little more delicate and some lip glosses just make it worse, but it must be down to the natural mineral oils in the Proto-Col lip gloss that makes my lips feel nourished and hydrated.
So what about the bells and whistles I mentioned. Well, first up, the lip gloss tube has a mirror on the side. Perfect. Especially with darker glosses, I don’t want to look like I’ve already had a night out before it’s even begun! (Or a pink moustache!) It’s just handy having a mirror on the actual lip gloss. I only have one pair of hands so this is a brilliant extra.
But oh no, Proto-Col haven’t stopped there. It’s called L.E.D Lip Gloss for a reason. They have only gone and added a built in light! Yes! I’ve probably mentioned it in passing that I wish things had built in lights. I mean my phone has a built in torch but like I said, I only have 1 pair of hands.
The lip gloss comes with a unique L.E.D Light which is under the lid. As soon as you start to unscrew, the light pops on. I know I can already think of a handful of reasons why this is great. Obviously being out at night time and needing to reapply, no more shoving past the queue in the skanky toilets, just pop in the corner with your girlies and you have all the tools you need! Come on, it’s a lip gloss with a mirror and a light!
The brush applicator on this lip gloss is quite small which takes a little extra time to apply but means you don’t put on too much and allows you to not ‘colour outside the edges’.
This really is a do it all lip-gloss and I have it on a few of my friends Christmas present list already as they would love the whole design of this lip gloss, not just for the tricks but for the colour and the consistency as well as the long lasting shine.
