Over the past year I have a new found love of underwear, (as you may have noticed) and it’s quite clear that my favourite style is the Balconette. Probably because it lifts and adds shape but the bras are usually so pretty too. My newest addition to my underwear wardrobe is this beautiful pin up style bra and knickers Parfait set from Affinitas. Aptly named Charlotte (I want to find a Hollie!) it’s a rather sexy but still wearable In the daytime type of set.
It’s a gorgeous deep red with a satin feel to it. It has a slight retro appeal with the black lining and overlay. The bra only has a double fastening and not my usual choice of triple fastening, but I was pleasantly surprised at how robust the wide sides were. I prefer wide straps and a wider back which this bra has and it manages to stay looking sexy and fashionable while being comfortable. I did find the bra to be a snug fit but it wasn’t tight at all and made my bust feel secure and supported.
The briefs really won me over. I chose size XXL and because they are high waisted I thought there was no way they would fit. But, they fit perfectly. I love them. They feel great against the skin and really comfortable. The size XXL equates to a size 18 but I think it’s a really generous fit.
The set is sophisticated, a little sexy but most importantly comfortable. I can definitely feel the quality of the bra and the cup hasn’t lost its shape which can easily be done with balcony bras. I was really impressed with the bra wings (the sides) the sheer mesh material didn’t buckle and dig in as can often happen and even if I say so myself it looked pretty good! It is slightly padded which is perfect for me because it adds a bit of shape and gives a smoother silhouette and it’s also under wired which gives me the oomph effect!

The set in total is £41.00 and the bra is available in sizes 28-40 D-K, the briefs in size 8-18 which like I said my pair are a size 18 but I’m a 22 and they are very comfortable on me. In m opinion the set is worth the money because of it’s gorgeous style and comfortable fit. It also has the perfect lift to it and not too much padding. I’ll definitely be having a browse for more underwear by Parfait From Affinitas. The colour is a gorgeous shade. It’s a deep Valentines Day type of red… Spot on and the set makes me feel good! Thumbs up from me!
