Kimonos are taking over at the moment and I know why. Not only are they usual a floral pattern which is always a key trend during the summer months, but they are pretty, light weight and great for all body types. They really are just so flattering. I think they are a great alternative to cardigans. Don’t get me wrong, a good cardigan is a gem but I’m sick of wearing them in the warmer months and this year I refuse to make them y wardrobe essential. Therefore, I’m bringing Kimono Power into my Summer wardrobe as my essential item.

The Perfect Summer Essential : Kimono Power
It’s a sheer black base with gorgeous white and pastel pink floral prints all over it. It isn’t too in your face and can be easily dressed up or down for work or play. It does have a waterfall front but it isn’t too flyaway and still has a structure to the design not just a piece of material. It’s enough to cover my tummy and isn’t too long either which annoys me sometimes. I don’t want to completely cover up!
I wore it with black skinny jeans and a black vest top but it adds a great pop of colour. Even wearing it with a white vest top and pastel skinnies would work or as a summer bikini cover up on the beach. The key thing about this Kimono for me is the fit and the feel of the material. It’s double layered on the hems meaning it doesn’t float away with every single breeze that happens to come past and the fit is perfect. It almost feels like a very light weight jacket.
