I don’t know why, but I find it so satisfying when I can introduce the boys to characters that I used to love when I was little. My husband has already somehow got the boys into wrestling (which was a massive fan of when he was small) and so I’ve got to try and offset it with things that are a lot less aggressive! Disney films were everything back in the late 80s and early 90s. I used to watch the videos of the over and over again and drove my parents crazy by asking them to rewind them back to the beginning for me all the time. (Thank goodness times have changed and we now have a pause button!)
All of my favourites are probably other people’s too, so I remember watching Bambi over and over again. Beauty and the Beast was another big one for me. Same for Snow White and Cinderella and Little Mermaid! There’s so many!
I recently got to introduce Cameo and Marlo to Marie from the Aristacats and everyone’s favourite baby elephant – Dumbo. Even without showing them the full films (they managed to sit through about a quarter of Dumbo – but that’s still an improvement!) they have become converts. Marlo now has a TV-watching companion, and Cameo has a brand new bed buddy (to add to the collection of 5 others that he sleeps with every night!)
I love the classic Disney films and the boys are getting to the age where they can get wrapped up in them too, even if it is just for 30 minutes! The magic it creates is brilliant. We’ve got big plans over the next couple of years, one of them is to head to Disney Land. I’ve never been so I’m sure it’s more for me than the boys 😂

We’ve reviewed these lovely plushies from the Disney Plush Classic range from Simba Toys and we received a super cute 17cm Dumbo (RRP: £9.99)and a huge 35cm Marie (RRP: £19.99) which is so soft Marlo loves to just hold on to it! You know it’s a winner when he tries to share his mini cookies with it. But don’t panic, they can be washed by hand so no need to worry about chocolate-covered fur! You can grab these lovely toys from Tesco while stocks last.
