In today’s world, you are constantly surrounded by images of perfection, this can have a huge impact on levels of confidence and self-esteem. Issues with confidence can stem from problems with your mental health, once you address this then you may feel better about yourself. It can sometimes feel as though you won’t get yourself out of that big pit you find yourself in. The good news is that of course, this is possible. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns and want to take back control of your confidence. If you are not sure how to go about this then take a look at the article below.

Wardrobe

One of the first things that can instantly make you feel better about yourself is the clothes you wear. You may be wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable, however, they may just be the wrong clothes for you. If you are a mum then you may be used to wearing practical clothes such as leggings and cardigans. This is great but sometimes you have to own the clothes you wear rather than the other way around. Head out to the shops, step out of your comfort zone, and find an outfit that makes you go wow. You will instantly notice the difference in your confidence levels.

Teeth

Something else that could be getting you down is the condition of your teeth. This is something that can get to us all at one point, we are only human. You may be on medication or have been on medication previously that has completely ruined your teeth. This is through no fault of your own, although if you have avoided the dentist then it may be time to head back. They will be able to help you get through the whole process of fixing your teeth to a standard you are proud of. It may just take some simple teeth whitening, rather than fillings and fingers rooting around in your mouth.

Hair

If you constantly feel like you are having a bad hair day then the good news is there are ways around this. If you can’t get to the hairdresser right away then don’t worry, you won’t have to wear a hat everywhere you go. You could tie it up if you are comfortable with that. Alternatively, you could look into ways of styling it so you feel better about it in the meantime. If the problem you have is that you think your hair is quite thin then how about some extensions to give it some oomph? Check out The London Hair Lab to find out more about hair extensions and if your hair is strong enough to hold them.

Skin

Finally, you may not like looking at yourself in the mirror due to acne or other skin complaints. This is totally normal and everyone gets them at some point in their life. If you have regular breakouts then you might want to look into particular lifestyle habits or what makeup you are using on your face. There are many different factors that can impact the quality of your skin, speak to a dermatologist if you are overly concerned and think you need some medication.
