I have joined in with an incredible group of bloggers about being brave and wearing what you like! It’s called ‘Outside My Comfort zone’ and I love the idea of it.
I’m sure you know the feeling. Getting up in the morning, putting on a great outfit but not feeling quite brave enough to leave the house, so you go and put on the ‘safe stuff’. Well, this challenge is hopefully going to push me little by little. Self-acceptance is a great thing.
This time the theme given was:
‘Unleash your wild side!
Leopard, cheetah, zebra……. I hope that will join me in unleashing your wild side and show some love for animal print! Shoes, tops, bags or be brave and go head to toe!’
Straight away ‘oh dear’ came to mind. Do I even have anything animal print!? I was surprised at how much I actually had considering I have never worn any of it! Apart from some small stud earrings in tiger print which I wear quite a lot, most of the stuff was just sitting there in its own dust den.
So I opted for this scoop neck top –

I love the feel; it’s really soft and stretchy. The shoulders kept falling down a little and it wasn’t the most flattering top in terms of being clingy. As long as I kept shuffling it about I felt ok.
I wore it with high waisted black skinny jeans which were comfortable and helps tuck in the muffin top. (As much is possible anyway!)
It did feel like I was standing out of the crowd. I went for dinner wearing it and felt quite brave! It’s definitely a pattern which stands out against any background. Looking at the pictures it looked better than I thought it did.
A roaring success I believe. (I had to do it!)
