Pastels are going to be everywhere for Spring & Summer 2014 and as soon as I saw her coat I had to go on a little hunt. The coat itself can be bought directly from Zara. It’s a gorgeous design, pastel blue and extremely feminine but it only goes up to a size 10!
So working on the basis of simple pastel coats and what this post is all about, I went on the hunt for some simple plus size alternatives.
1. Dorothy Perkins Pastel Boyfriend Coat – Sizes 6 -22 – I love the colour and it almost matches the mohair coat that Emma Willis is wearing above. Even with the jet patch pockets and buttons it still looks simple.
2. New Look Double Pocket Mohair Textured Coat – Sizes 8 -18 – I do love this pink but it also comes in cream and pastel blue which is a bonus. It has a mohair finish and once again has that feminine but strong appeal.
3. M&S Collection Wool Rich Cashmere Lapel Coat – Sizes 12- 18 – This coat has the pastel shade and the soft texture which is a great match with Emmas coat. It’s slightly on the long side but matched with skinny jeans and some court shoes I think it would definitely work.
4. Simply Be Ava by Mark Heyes Collarless Coat – Sizes 12 -32 – This soft lilac is perfect for the Pastel trend and the design is almost on point with the Zara coat. It’s simple but stylish and I think this is going to be the one on my wishlist.
5. Yours Mint Eyelash Open Mesh Cardigan – Sizes 16-32 – Heading for a slightly different option, a cardigan is a great replacement in the warmer months and this minty green eyelash cardy has the texture and colour to fit in with this look.
There you have it. My plus size finds for the pastel coat trend all because Emma Willis looked so hot in hers!
