I feel like Action Man is a part of almost every household. The superhero figure has been a part of my dads’ childhood, my fiancé’s childhood and even my childhood! (Girls and Boys can play with whatever they want in my book!) So it was really lovely when Cameo was introduced to his first Action Man figure this week. To be honest it was a little present for both Daddy and Son! I knew it would take Chiino back to his childhood too so it was lovely watching them take the Action Man figures out of the bag together!
The Action Man Timeless Classic Range comes on retro packaging which is almost too good to open! Action Sailor, Action Pilot and Action Soldier make up the range and each of the limited edition figures has a new body, uniform and head with amazing features! As soon as Cameo saw him he said hello as if he was a normal person. These are the three most popular figures of all time, so it’s great that they’re introducing them to a new generation while still keeping that old magic alive. They’re £14.99 and you can get the Deluxe sets that have extra accessories for £24.99. Considering the years of fun that comes from having Action Man in your life, it’s a bargain, to be honest!
Cameo loves Action Man Soldier and it’s a great size (30cm) and has lots of movement. It’s super robust which means so far, Action Soldier is still in one piece! It definitely brought make some nostalgia for Chiino. He told me that he used to have a huge collection of Action Man and sometimes got a little overzealous with the wrestling side of things when his dad had to keep telling him to stop throwing Action Man down the stairs and against the wall! I feel like the same thing will be happening in our house. We’ve already had him swing from the hallway light, down the bannisters and this morning we came down and he had magically climbed onto the curtain pole.
