I’ve set myself a challenge while I’m on sabbatical from April. I’m going to seriously clear out my wardrobe, restructure everything and try to create something that keeps me organised. I have a really small wardrobe that’s fitted into the room so it can’t be moved. The chance is we might move in the next 18 months and then I’ll really look at creating a gorgeous space with bespoke furniture, maybe even a bespoke wardrobe and lots of storage. It just has to be worked with at the moment and if I need to do a little DIY than I can get my hands dirty. So in order to prep for this I’m starting to do a little research and reminding myself of these small steps I can take to help my wardrobe stay organised and eventually be my little dream closet.
Hang Tight

This isn’t the first time I’ve told myself that all my clothes hangers need to be the same. But I actually went and bought some the other day and I’m going to weed out the random wire hangers or the slightly wobbly ones. Velour hangers are easier for clothes to hang on and they are thin which means more space!
Shoes Glorious Shoes

shoe storage is one of my biggest problems. I have so many shoes, boots, traders, sandals… the list goes on! I always end up losing one or taking them all out because the pair of shoes I ant today just so happen to be at the very bottom of the box! (so predictable). I’d love to have a wall just like this! What I’ve been trying to do it store my summer footwear away while its winter and vice versa. This is harder said that done because the UK weather is so up and down right now.
Block it Up
I guess the key to success for me is to have lots of separation and everything clearly in it’s own space with easy reach. This is where bespoke wardrobes may well come in when I move house but even if I can use storage boxes for the mean time it will help. But I so wish I had a space like this! Our spare room is currently the man cave. I may need to take back ownership, do some DIY and create my wardrobe heaven!
