It doesn’t have to be a designer to add luxury to your life! We often equate Prada, Gucci, Lubiton, and other big fashion houses to what luxury is. But real luxury isn’t about the label – it is about how the item can make us feel.

In a world of fast fashion, we can often add too much to our wardrobes – so much so that nothing feels special. If that sounds familiar, then maybe it is time to refresh and rethink how you buy clothes.

Declutter before adding

Before adding too many new items, it is time to take a look at what you already have. Many of us buy new clothing for a single occasion – and never wear it again. Or we make a mistake in the sizing – or worse, the retailer doesn’t have good sizing.

Whatever the reason, have a good clear out – if you don’t love it or wear it, then say goodbye to it.

Selling anything in good condition can help you to save up for items with a little more luxe in them.

Cosy feet

Is there anything as luxurious as something cosy on your feet? Not everyone enjoys wearing socks; they can sometimes feel restrictive. So it can be a good idea to get some cosy fluffy slippers, but make sure they are breathable!

Investing in plenty of socks is smart, but investing in a few pairs of breathable ultra-soft cashmere socks is even smarter.

Luxury, in this case, is that delicate material that is soft and breathable, keeping your toes warm any time of year.

Black dress

Even if you adore bright colours and bold patterns, there is a lot to say about the elegant and timeless black dress. A black dress can be dressed up or down no matter the occasion. You can pair it with edgier footwear and a leather jacket, or heels and a cape.

No matter what you need, your black dress can be the go-to. Since black dresses are some of the most popular, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a style that matches your needs.

Scarves

A great scarf will see you through autumnal nights, winter mornings and those oddly cold spring mornings too. A cashmere scarf can offer breathability and that warmth you need from a good scarf.

Aside from a cosy winter scarf, silk scarves, satin scarves, and other light materials can make a great addition to any outfit any time of year.

Moisturiser

Although your genetics, diet and water intake will have much of an impact on your skin, there is no substitute for a high-quality daily moisturiser. A water-based cream can offer a colossal hydration infusion to your skin and keep it looking fresh.

Sunglasses

One of the items many people can afford in terms of designers is sunglasses. An oversized pair of sunglasses not only protects the sensitive and thin skin around your eyes, but you can put them on and feel a million dollars pretty quickly!
