I always get a little excited when I blog about a new plus size range. It means another place for curvy girls to shop in and another place accepting that women come in all different shapes and sizes! Hooray! The newest brand to launch a plus size range is Quiz Clothing. The current face of the collection is the lovely babe Felicity Hayward and it’s a curve collection that’s fully on trend with everything from embroidered pieces to bardot tops. It’s a flirty, feminine kind of collection with lots of florals and pastels with a touch of edge with the odd khaki number. I couldn’t wait to give their clothing a trial run. Here’s my thoughts – I was pretty impressed.
Quiz Curve range from a size 18 -28 and I’m impressed with the sizing. I actually sized up in this piece because it’s a long line shirt. Usually they are a bit tight on the tops of my arms and bust area. But this was a great fit. If anything it was a little bit, so no need to size up. Get your normal size! Hopefully the other pieces are just as good a fit. I’m a fan of shirts and since having Baby C long line shirts have really appealed to me. I’m still a fan of dresses, but shirts are winning right now. This is a great fit with the tie belt creating a bit of shape and definition wherever you feel like you want it. I love the light blue contrast with the pink too. It really works and actually is quite bold. I love simple things like this.
This shirt in particular is a thin fabric with not much stretch, which is why I’m so impressed with the sizing. It’s on the verge of being too short for a dress (I’m 5″6). I’d wear it as a dress on holiday but probably not here, so I matched it with some leggings and fresh white trainers. You could easily wear it open over a vest top or over a pair of ripped skinny jeans. I’m wearing the sleeves down here but they are roll sleeves so can be easily turned up and fastened. I love the bright embroidery and I’ve worn this 3 time so far with no sewing coming undone or any buttons falling off!
It’s great to have another plus size collection to choose from, I hope they expand and stay around because I’m a little in love with the pieces I have. I have another item to show you in a few days which is going to be a summer winner just like this shirt!
