The Festival Edit From Ali Express

Have you noticed all the festival pieces slowly creeping onto the rails? I definitely have and I’m putting so many things on my wish list that I’m not sure my wardrobe (or bank balance) will actually survive. It makes me want summer to hurry up because I am sick of feeling cold and getting incredibly bored of my winter wardrobe! Well, I’ve found one way of making the new wardrobe purchases a little easier on the pocket. Ali Express is celebrating their anniversary in style this year with an epic sale. In fact, it’s the biggest sale in its history. When I heard that they’d be having deals every 2 hours of up to 90% off on clothing, accessories, shoes and bags (to name a few) I couldn’t help but have a little window shop. I was genuinely surprised by the amount available and the prices… well… the prices are amazingly affordable!

There’s plenty of plus size choice too. In true Hollie form I’ve created a festival outfit of the day wish list with everything being plus size or wide fit. Believe it or not, it’s all from Ali Express.

First up is this gorgeous Diomo Geometric Sequin Backpack, it’s just over £15.00 and is an amazing dupe for the BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE Metallic Backpack, which is over £2000! Incredible, huh? A backpack is a must have for any festival. Being hands free but knowing your stuff is secure is one of the key festival rules.

One of my favourite summer looks from 2017 isn’t going anywhere in 2018. It’s that ripped jean vibe with a bardot top. It’s so chilled out. Effortless, stylish and fresh; it’s an outfit that I always turn to. With these jeans and this stripe off the shoulder number it’s a perfect cool festival look. With both, yes BOTH items adding up to less than £20.00, it’s almost a wonder why we’re shopping anywhere else.

Footwear is really important at any festival, especially if it’s UK based. You can’t predict UK weather. It could be anything from a mud river to a field as dry as the Sahara. That’s without talking about the amount of walking and dancing you’ll be doing. You need comfort and style – obviously. But a key thing is to NOT to wear your best, most expensive footwear. No matter what, you’re going to get filthy. I’ve found these really pretty trainers that are another dupe for some classic Nike Airs. But guess the price. Go one. Guess. They’re less than £12.00! I know, it’s amazing what you can find.

Finally, a couple of accessories to finish the festival look (on the condition that it is actually sunny). If the weather isn’t ideal, swap for a poncho and you’re sorted. The sunglasses with a two-tone candy pink shade are perfect for selfies. They’re a match made in heaven for the pastel colours that tend to hit us in summer. Then there’s the hat that can see you through from festival, to holiday to garden picnic. The ‘Do Not Disturb’ sun hat has become an Instagram sensation. It’s easy to jump on the bandwagon when it’s only £6.00!

What’s even better is if you’re willing to wait a bit, you can get free delivery to the UK, so no worries about that any international shipping charges.

Along with this epic anniversary sale, Ali Express will also be running competitions and giveaways through out the day. Special promotions will be flying everywhere and quite frankly, it isn’t to be missed. The sale runs from March 28th – 30th.

May I also suggest you check out the kitchen gadget section. You’ll wonder how you lived without some of those magical things when you see them!
