I love a good wishlist and while I’ve been stuck inside recovering from my labour experience I’ve been indulging in some window shopping of the special kind. You may (or may not) know I got engaged a few months ago, so it’s only normal I start to look for wedding rings, right? Well on the hunt for some inspiration I’ve edged towards some gorgeous antique and vintage style rings. This then of course turned into earrings and watches and so it continues. As always, to rail myself in I’ve created an antique and vintage jewellery wishlist.
1. Jewellery doesn’t just stop at earrings you know. A beautiful watch like number one with a stunningly unique colour will be a timeless piece in any jewellery box. It’s just so beautiful. Not often I say that about a watch I tell you.
2 & 3. On my ring hunt I came across this stunning heart shaped sapphire and diamond ring circa 1920s from Berganza. It’s totally stunning. The colour and the shape is so unique and it really is beautiful. While I was browsing the rings I came across these old cut diamond stud earrings which are at number 3. These are so me. I love big necklaces but theres something about stud earrings that makes them great for everyday wear. These are elegant and understated. I love them.
4. While I love stud earrings for daily wear, you always need some drop earrings in your box ready for a special occasion. These vintage inspired earrings are gorgeous and would compliment any outfit.
5. Sometimes simple doesn’t cut it and I’m a fan of statement necklaces. This is a piece which will compliment a simple outfit and turn anything from day to night. It’s vintage inspired and the shapes are lovely. I love the blue tones too, it’s unusual and something I’d love to have to hand for a special occasion.
Those are the favourites I’ve come across so far. Do you have any antique or vintage jewellery that has a special place in your jewellery box?
