Hands up who loves a spa day? Well, I recently took a trip to The Spa at Ardencote and here are 5 reasons why you need to visit.
Outdoor Hot Tub
The outdoor hot tub was the star of the show. The weather was -1 while we were there but this beauty kept us warm & relaxed while looking at the blue sky. It’s big enough so a handful of people can be in there but you all have plenty of space. We were lucky and had it to ourselves most of the time!
Tribe 517 Massage
I had the Tribe 517 Warm Harmony full body massage which was epic. They used warm barley bags, sleep balm & warm massage shells which really REALLY made me feel relaxed. (I fell asleep in the tranquillity room afterwards haha). This was more of a ritual massage and works in a circular motion which meant I felt as though I’d had double the massage. So instead of doing feet first, then legs, then back etc, it started on my left foot and worked up and around to my right foot. Incredible.
Indoor Jacuzzi
The indoor Pool & jacuzzi is another great part of Aardencote Spa for some time out. These are based within the general facilities that Ardeote hotel visitors can use too. But again, lot’s of space and very relaxed.
Spa Experience Rooms
There’s everything from steam rooms to ice fountains to try. Relaxation & tranquillity lounges with complimentary hot drinks & other leisure facilities like a tennis court if napping like me isn’t your thing. The Tepidarium was my fave, so warm & relaxing. Yep. I fell asleep again. It was so relaxing, feeling the warm run through me knowing it was freezing outside. So nice.
The Food
A light lunch is included in spa packages and it was really impressive. I had squid, which was lovely and although it was a light lunch I thought the portions were quite generous. The drinks are great too & you can even take them to the hot tub with you for a real treat, the brasserie staff will give you a plastic glass to take with you.
The Spa at Ardencote is based in Warwickshire. You can get half-day spa packages and full-day spa packages. There is free parking on site & the staff were lovely too. Robes, slippers and a towel are all complimentary and they do a size XXL robe as well. Make sure you have a £1 coin for the lockers and you might need an extra towel because you’ll be in and out of the water quite a bit.
