Yesterday was all about British Plus Size Fashion Weekend – Brands, Networking & Marketplace. There was just too much to fit into one post so this is part 2 – Catwalk Run Down & My BPSFW street style faves! (This is a photo heavy post – but worth it!)
The highlight of the whole weekend had to be the catwalk. The main brands got to show their amazing plus size pieces and they had some pretty hot models wearing them. The catwalk lasted around an hour and ran through general fashion, bridal and lingerie. Although the music was on repeat They only played 2 songs through out the show) the atmosphere was thick with anticipation and there was great support from the crowd.
I took a picture of almost every single item on the catwalk so I have decided to show you my favourite pieces from the brands.
As well as the general fashion items, I think that British Plus Size Fashion Weekend also did really well at showcasing some high fashion plus size items. It’s rare that you see such styles in plus size but I think these items by Syreeta Badu and Dear Curves looks amazing! It shows that size really doesn’t matter!
As for the bridal wear and lingerie. The models looks beautiful. Every shape and size rocked their lingerie perfectly. It’s great to have bright, sexy underwear in every size. We are all women and we all want to look and feel great. Finally, the brands are with us.
I thought everyone that attended, press, PRs, stall vendors and the general public looked amazing! So, when it wasn’t so busy I papped a couple of people and myself to grab their style. I love plus size fashionistas!
There you have it. Some AMAZING items. My wish list has grown ten fold and I now have an idea that there is so much more fashionable plus size clothing out there, it’s just knowing where to look. There’s pieces to invest in and there are some affordable alternatives too.
Looking good and feeling great is all about confidence. Wear what you feel good in. Be yourself and believe in yourself. I met some amazing people that weekend who told me about the body confidence issues they had. Too look at them, to me they were perfection and their warm personality was amazing. I just want to say that EVERYONE I met over the weekend was friendly, charismatic and bloody gorgeous!
Keep your eyes peeled for #BPSFW next year. I reckon the 3rd one is going to blow everyone away even more than this year.
