Your bathroom is a very functional and heavily used room. Every single day you’re in and out of it, and during those moments, you really get to know the four walls around you. So what do you think of them? Are they whitewashed and boring? Is there nothing comforting or cozy in there that makes you feel at home? If not, it might be time to change things

You deserve to have a bathroom that’s a nice place to be, so let’s go through a few steps you might have to take to turn it into more of a cozy, relaxing place that you’d love to soak in.

Think About What You Use in the Tub

A simple point to begin with, but an important one! Your tub has a lot to offer; it’s well sized, can fit more than one of the kids in at once if need be, and it’s where you can really relax and soak in, surrounded by bubbles and bath bombs. And that’s just what you need to be thinking about right now! If you want your bathroom to be a nicer room, you need more and more of the smelly stuff

Work on Your Sink Space

The sink is going to be quite heavily used in your bathroom, and not just for washing hands! The bathroom mirror is usually placed above the sink, and storage space underneath it, and you could be spending hours every week in that area. And because of this, it might be time to work on your sink space, to make it look more aesthetically pleasing to every eye.

You might need to get a new sink installed – one that has plenty of room within the bowl for washing hands and faces, as well as brushing teeth. Sinks can be a real focal point these days! You might also need to install a new bathroom vanity; one that’s sleek in design and colour, and really complements the tiles you’ve put on the wall. All in all, better shades and tones in the bathroom, more space to work with, and a feeling of luxury whenever you use the space.

Grout Those Tiles!

Sure, the tiles you currently have on the walls were grouted when you moved in, but they could do with a bit of re-do! After all, grouting does wear away, and your bathroom could be looking all the worse for it. It might be a small issue you don’t notice unless you’re really looking, but seeing as you use this bathroom every single day, you probably don’t feel too good about it.

Well, getting started with grouting is actually fairly easy to do. A full and in depth list of instructions can be found on this website, so be sure to check it out if you’re a DIY beginner with a bit of time on their hands!

Your bathroom could be a lovely place to be, as long as you know what needs some work.
