It’s that time of year when festive thoughts are long gone and now we’re getting into the meaty bit of the new year. The time when we’ve had enough of all the junk in the house, unwanted gifts and it’s time for that big old spring cleaning session. I love decluttering, I would say it’s one of my favourite things to do. But cleaning, not so much. Have a huge day of cleaning and then guess what? I need to do it again tomorrow – boring!
So in order to keep my spring cleaning mind pumped up to the max, here are a few ideas to get your spring cleaning done and dusted with as little effort as possible! Let’s go!
The Tools
Just like any job. You need the right tools for the trade. If you’re going for a full-on spring clean, you need to have everything ready, or we both know you’ll ‘leave it for another day’. Using a brand like Jangro means you can get all your cleaning supplies sorted at once. No forgetting anything, no last-minute rush and no panic. If you’re going to do it properly, you need the right cleaning products. Simple.
Hire
OK so let’s just say it how it is. Some people just hate cleaning or are absolutely rubbish at it – or both! So if the purse strings allow, maybe it’s time to hire a cleaner. You can pay per hour and actually it doesn’t necessarily work out that expensive if you work out how much time you’d be doing it compared to their whizzing around. It’s a privileged thing to do – but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!
Excuses
Excuses, excuses. We all have them. This list is all about pushing those excuses to one side and just getting on with it. But one valid excuse for not having a deep clean is the impact on the environment when you use all those cleaning chemicals. Well, sorry to burst your bubble but that excuse is no longer valid! Jangro Enviro offers a full range of eco-friendly cleaning products. That’s right – eco-friendly and keeping negative environmental impact to a minimum. So you better get those gloves out!
Music
When it’s time to get down to the cleaning, it’s time to get down to the music too. Music is scientifically proven to make people happier. So it’s time to pop on your favourite tunes and get cleaning. It’ll pass the time quicker and before you know it, you’ll have gone through an entire back catalogue and totally smashed your spring clean!
Face your fears
It can seem like a mammoth task, having a spring clean and really getting those cobwebs out. Just the thought of where to start can be overwhelming. SO here’s a tip. Start with the biggest, dirtiest or hardest place first. I’m serious! Once you’ve got that bit done, the rest will feel like a dream. You’ll feel so motivated that you’ll just keep on going. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself.
