The Internet is a funny thing. When I look at how my mum shops, it’s mainly done in person and if she does shop online I worry about what she’s bought! (She tried to buy a mermaids tail blanket at Christmas and ended up with a mini version – haha!) Then someone like myself spends way too much time (and money) shopping online. It’s just so easy.
In September SwiftMoney conducted a survey of 1000 British consumers and found that more people prefer to shop online (50.6%) With 32% of people saying it was easier to shop for deals (32%) and 14% saying there was more choice. I TOTALLY agree with the more choice option and it’s actually a bit irritating. Let me explain.
Almost all plus size stores are online with only a handful on the high street. There is a demand, I mean the average woman’s dress size in the UK is now a 16! If I want to buy fast, fashionable pieces I have to go online. The likes of Boohoo and Missguided are based in the virtual world – well their curve collections are. It isn’t all bad though; I do agree that you can get more bargains online. Who shops without looking for a voucher code these days?
