Believe it or not, I got engaged towards the end of last year. To be honest, having Baby C overshadowed it a bit. Totally understandable though! Having a new baby takes over your entire life. But now things are settling down a little it’s starting to creep back into my mind again. I’m feeling that underlying urge to start planning and researching. I love window-shopping, so I’m just going to start window-shopping for wedding things! One of the things I’d love to do (because time with friends is precious since having a baby) is to have a really great hen party. Getting all the girls together and really letting our hair down would be the only objective. So I’ve had a look and I’ve come up with 5 hen party ideas that are floating my boat right now.
1.House Party
After looking at big houses to rent, there are some great options out there. I’d love to get a bunch of my girls together and rent one of those party houses you see on the TV. Just a more relaxed version of course. It would be an absolutely amazing night. Home made cocktail, gossip and lots of food. Set in a beautiful location with amazing views. What more could I ask for?
2.Afternoon Tea
You can get special hen party afternoon teas now. One of those would be right up my street. I’m a huge fan of afternoon tea and I know my girlies are too. Obviously we’d need one with lots of bubbles and plenty of refills but I know we’d have a fabulous time. As long as there was no time limit, we’d waffle the afternoon away.
3.Burlesque
Something a little different but lots of a fun. A burlesque class is an amazing idea. I’m not sure how good we’d be at the sultry dancing but the belly laughing would be a great work out. I’m not sure all my girls would be up for this but it would be perfect with a little group. I could do a class then head for afternoon tea. Who said I only had to choose one?
4.Pamper
I could do with a bit of pampering right now to be honest. I bit of time out. A back and neck massage would go down a treat right. Add on a facial, foot rub plus some beauty bits and pieces. You have me sold already. I’d love a pamper session but I’m not sure it equates to a hen party. We’d all be by ourselves, relaxing so there wouldn’t be much group activity. This would be a great start to our weekend away like option 1 though. A pamper session and then a couple of days away in a party house. Yes please!
5.Cocktails
Cocktail making classes sound like a great idea. The only problem is that I’m sure my friends would end up drinking the alcohol before the cocktails were even made! I’d love to grab some recipes and make them myself at the party house. At least then I know we can’t be told to get out for drinking all the champagne.
Those are my top 5 Hen party ideas (for now!) I’m definitely feeling number 1 as my favourite right now.
