We recently had to get a new car, not necessarily because we wanted to but our old one died a sad death so we had to get a replacement. I’m really going to try and look after this car so that it lasts as long as possible and I just want it to be a nice environment. So here are the 5 things I’ve going to do to keep it feeling it’s best.

 Air freshener

so this isn’t about what the car looks like but is how it smells! The new car smell you get is brilliant. That fresh, new and clean smell which can quickly disappear. Even more so when you drive the car a lot and especially with little ones. A good plan is to make a list of Fresheners for the car that you can find easily with www.onlinecarparts.co.uk. Then as soon as you’re old one stops smelling fresh, replace it. My plan is to order a few at a time and keep them in the car so that new fresh smell stays around.

Vacuum

Might be a simple one, but vacuum the car as often as possible. Invest in a handheld hoover and a quick whip around every few days will make a huge difference in the long run. It’s amazing the number of crumbs and dust that starts living in the car!

Mats

Mats, mats, mats. They might seem like a waste of time but honestly, the damage you can do to the floor of your car over time can be irreversible. Adding mats, cleaning them (or replacing them) every so often makes the car feel almost new again! It takes a few minutes and if you do replace them, you can get car mats for as little as £10 if you go on a bargain hunt.

Service

We all know that a service seems like a waste of money. Well, trust me when I say it isn’t. Making that investment in your car will save you time and money in the long run. Think about it, if you’ve spent that much money on your car in the first place, you might as well look after it!
