Moving into a new house gives you a whole host of possibilities, especially when it comes to the bathroom. Now we’re about to become a family of four I feel like we have so much more to take into consideration. Space, storage and of course easy to clean! Our 16 month old has a way of making a huge mess in the bathroom already!

We’ve decided to research as much as possible before taking any action, we don’t want to do this in a hurry. It’s a lot of effort and I feel like we’re only going to have the chance to do this once in the hose we’re currently in! So to make it easier for you, and us here are my 4 simple tips on bathroom styling.

Explore

There are so many types of bathrooms to choose from and while you can definitely do lots of the work yourself, there’s never any harm in getting some professional help. Start by looking at what the professionals do. Explore ideas and designs. Create a Pinterest board or similar so you can see what really ticks your boxes. You can check various types of bathroom designs at Harrogate Bathrooms showroom as a great starting point.

Accessories

If you’re not ready for a whole bathroom redesign, start with accessories. Choose a colour palette that suits you. For example, light blues or yellows for a fresh feel and orange or browns for a warm feel. Mix and match your accessories to your colour palette and have fun in shopping for bits and pieces. What’s great about this is that you can do it as often as budget allows. Making you feel like you have an entirely new bathroom whenever you do.

Pattern

One way of adding space and design to a bathroom is creating a feature wall. Opt for a large-scale pattern. It could be painted or even tiled. Think large stripes, as the ideal, but anything with a large pattern would work. It will make the room look larger, and who doesn’t want a bigger bathroom? For big jobs, like I said in tip one, make sure you some professional advice. There’s nothing worse than starting a job you can’t finish.

Flowers

The simplest and easiest way of styling a bathroom quickly is by adding flowers. I’m serious! I know you might be thinking ‘really?’ But the answer is yes! A small bunch of fresh flowers presented in a lovely glass or bottle will make the world of difference to any bathroom. No matter how big or small. Think as green as possible, because green indicates freshness and newness. Exactly what you want in a bathroom. Simplicity works too, so opt for single stems or simple designs. A real winner is grabbing some pretty artificial succulents. They look the part with absolutely no fuss. Less is more. Trust me, this simple tip will make the world of difference to your bathroom. Plus, there’s no risk of seriously damaging your bathroom!
